Are the pictures in the class description what we will be making?

The pictures look appetizing enough to eat, but that doesn’t mean we’ll be making that particular dish. The pictures are just a representation of what can be made in that class or ingredients we may use or discuss.

Can I still download a PDF version of the schedule?

Yes, the PDF version of the schedule can be found at the bottom of the class schedule page or on our schedule archives page. In the archives page, you can view past schedules to get an idea for private classes or to suggest that we re-offer a class.

Can I suggest a class?

We love ideas and are open to any suggestions! If we think it would be a class that more people are interested in, we may offer it in the next schedule. Keep in mind, if you have a group of friends who want to attend we do offer private classes.

Can I use gift certificates or coupons for Cooking Classes when I purchase on-line?

Gift certificates and coupons purchased on-line after July 15, 2010 can be redeemed on-line. If you would like to redeem a gift certificate purchased before July 15, 2010, please call us at (616)842-2743.

Do I need an account on your website to purchase a cooking class on-line?

Yes, you need to create an account with our website to purchase a class. We must collect this information in order to provide secure online credit card processing and protect our customers from fraud.

Do I need to bring anything to a class?

Yourself and a smiling face! We want this to be an enjoyable experience, that is why we provide you with non-alcoholic refreshments, and sometimes wine to accompany the meal we will be making. You are more than welcome to bring a beverage of your choice!

Most of the classes offered are hands-on; so to keep you looking fancy, we provide an apron for your use during class.

I don’t want to attend the class anymore, what are my choices?

You may cancel your registration up to one week prior for an equal value class credit. We do not offer cash refunds; however, you may have someone take your class reservation.

I messed up on my on-line order, what do I do now?

If you made a mistake when ordering a class, call us at (616) 842-2743, and we will be happy to make it right.

I put my email on the waiting list, why didn’t I get a message?

If you added your email to the “Back-In-Stock” request and did not receive notification, chances are the class remained full. When there are no seats available, we do not email anyone on the waiting list.

I received a “Back-In-Stock” email for a class, why are they still not available?

The “Back-In-Stock” message is automatically sent to you when we get an open seat. However, someone else may have purchased the seat before you.

I would like to give a Cooking Class as a gift, is this possible?

Yes! Cooking Classes are great for birthdays, weddings, or even a housewarming gift.

You can purchase gift certificates online and have them delivered by email or by print. Gift Certificates purchased online after July 15, 2010 can also be redeemed online.

The class I want to attend is full, what do I do?

If the class you want to attend is full, our system will display a Sold Out or Quantity 0 Available message. In the class product detail page, there is a link named “EMAIL WHEN BACK-IN-STOCK. Select this to add your email to the waiting list for that class. When a seat becomes available we automatically send you an email advisory.

What if I have food allergies?

Please, let the chef know if you have any possible food allergies. We will accommodate you the best we can and advise you of any potential conflicts. We want to keep you healthy and happy so you can enjoy your night.

What payment types do you accept for purchasing a cooking class on-line?

We accept Visa, MasterCard and Discover.

What should I wear?

We suggest that you come in comfortable shoes and clothing. Your clothing should be kitchen-friendly; no long baggy sleeves, neck ties, loose jewelry, etc. Please remember that you will be in a kitchen cooking and we don’t want any accidents to happen.

When do I arrive, how do I enter the building?

Classes start promptly at the scheduled time, so plan to arrive with enough time to sign in and pick up your recipe pack. Our front doors are locked at closing time (usually 6:00 PM). If you find them locked, please use the door to the right rear of the building adjacent to the parking lot.

Where is the cooking school located and where do I park?

We are at 735 Washington Avenue in Grand Haven, Michigan.  Please see the map on our “Contact Us” page. If you need directions to get here, please feel free to call us at (616) 842-2743. 

You are welcome to park in the lot next to the building or in front of the building. If both areas are full, you can park in the city parking area located across the street next to the Frame and Mat shop.

Why did you stop accepting PayPal?

A number of our customers did not like the PayPal payment system. We switched to direct credit card processing on our secure server to improve customer satisfaction.

Will my old account work with the new on-line store?

Unfortunately not. We could not carry that information over to the new online store. You will need to create a new account.
